Thats ok by all means but you must remember that you are far more likely to get a response if you first introduce yourself and offer them something in return that they can get value from.

 

In most cases offering a back link to their web page from yours isnt enough to persuade anyone. You could offer them a free ebook that you own or free services or anything that could help them out. In most cases a link from your website to theirs (when you are first starting out) is not going to help them out any. If you have large site with a good amount of traffic and you were to offer them prime placement on your homepage or something then it would a much better deal for them and they would more likely consider.

 

You must respect other peoples time and know that they value their time and efforts just as much as you do. The more you give, the more people are going to give back to you in return. Its the way friendships are created and the way to making your wealth in any business.

I launched this feature and noticed that you can set many feature here as to where it would gather the keywords from.

The information retrieved is awesome, you can view the tops bids, know exactly how many competitor there are for Adwords, Overture, Ehance and Miva.

For Pay Per Click users, this is the type of information you want.

Create A keyword List
Using keyword Elite you can build a big list of up to 10,000 in one session. But, that's not all you can edit and append to the list of keyword found. The best part I like is, that it is happening on my desktop, and the keywords retrieved are from the top search engines.


 

Select A Keyword List
This option just baffles me, I have no clue why this was included. It is actually used for building a keyword list from a built in list of over 2 million keywords. I prefer to do my keyword research from live data retrieved from the search engines.

As it seems, the data retrieved had some nice little keywords included.

Analyze Keyword Competition
Keyword Elite really does a great job here analyzing the competition. It retrieves the top keywords and the top websites for your researched keyword.

What I specifically liked is the SEO-Research provided showing you exactly how the top sites were ranking. It showed if the site included that keyword in h1 tags, in the title, bold tags and in the first 25 words.

This information alone can help you to make minor adjustments to your own site for better rankings.

Spy On Adwords Competition
Now, this tool takes any top ranking site url that you insert and will keep track on a daily, weekly or monthly basis as to how the adds are performing in Google, I would recommend keyword elite to anyone that makes a living off of Pay Per Click.

Which brings us to the next are of discussion. You will want to prepare atleast 2 days maybe 3 days worth of titles and body txt. In the same excel document on a new tab break out the content into 3 days and search for original content.

Since you will be posting in the small business ad section, which is the only location I recommend you post because they are less likely to get flagged and removed. You will want to delete the prior days each day and repost in the same locations, or do a 3 day rotation between 2 different groups of cities. For example: on day one you would post your day one content at say seattle and san diego, then day two you would post your day two content to salt lake city and toronto, then on day three you would erase the content in seattle and san diego before reposting your day three content in seattle and san diego. Of course you will post to like 10-20 cities per day instead of only 2 but you get the picture.

I think that is all I have for now, this strategy has netted me amazing results using craigslist here is a list of other free advertising mediums to utilize.

]]> <![CDATA[Craigslist... What can it do for you? (Part 2)]]> Fri, 08 Feb 2008 02:52:57 GMT Craigslist, when used correctly can drive massive traffic to a website. One ad alone can net you 10-20 people per day. The trick is to use multiple ads and drive 100-200 people to your website per day with a few minutes worth of work.


The easiest and fastest way I have found to posting ads is to save a string of text in an excel spread sheet to help keep track of all the different ads you can use.

There a few things you should know and be aware of because craigslist is touchy when it comes to posting multiple times. Only post once every 5 minutes or so. 15 minutes after your first post you will need to go back and check the first add to make sure that is active. You cant simply go into your account, you will have to go to the actual location that it is supposed to be and make sure it is there. If it is not then the post has been "Ghosted". A post can become ghosted a few ways, posting to many times per minute(thus wait 5min between posts), or content that seems to be duplicated(thus you must use different titles). Try to avoid using the same text in the body, the string of text I sent you will be fine to use each and every post because it is html coding.

Now for the title you want something that is going to stand out. You want to avoid something that will make the reader get the wrong opinion before he even opens the ad. To do this I have found that using a question (usualy a joke) such as "Where do you get virgin wool from?" will get good results.

It gets good results because it peaks the interest of the reader, it will also stand out because it will be different from ever other title. Then of course within the body I will type in the answer "an ugly sheep" followed by "hehe Smile" then right below it I will paste the string of text to show the advertisement. It also helps break the ice a little by getting them to laugh........

How soon you start making money and how much is dependent upon how much effort you put in. If you follow along with my lessons and do the things I will teach you, you will make money. Its all mathematical, you just cant fail if you do the things you are supposed to do. If you get 1000 people to go to your website I can almost garuantee that 10-30 people will buy whatever your selling. If your product is selling for 50 bucks then you just made 500-1500 dollars.

One of the first things you will need to make money is a product to sell. It can literally be anything, though I will be teaching how to sell products online that do not require inventory, more specifically ebooks. You dont have to sell Ebooks, you can sell anything you want online, the lessons still apply.
 
This lesson is going to be selecting a product. When your trying to select a product it is important to pay attention to your niche market. This is the group of individuals called your niche market are going to be the people you will help. I say help because thats exactly what you will do, you will spend time with your niche market and listen to their needs and concerns. Its no big secret that when you have something that someone wants, they are going to buy it.


Imagine for a second that forks havent been invented yet. How would you determine that it is a good idea? You sit around the table at home every night and everyone seems to have a hard time using a spoon to eat noodles with.
 
Thats your key to success! When you hear a general complaint among your niche market, that is when the successful people step up to solve the problem when no one else wants to do it. Invent the fork and your a millionaire.
 
If you were the person that invent forks, how rich would you be?
 
Now, another part of finding a niche market is what you already know. What do you do on a regular basis? What do your friends do? Are you good at cleaning? are you a health freak? whatever it might be, just start researching the topic online. Search for "forums", if your now familiar with forums your in for a treat.

Do you make a budget with your personal finances and stick to it? If not, you should. Have you created a financial plan for your personal finances as well as your business finances?

 

It only takes a small leak to sink a great ship. Your business is like a great ship you have crafted and it will sail you to the ends of the world if properly constructed and well maintained. Even a small flaw such as going over budget or not setting a plan and sticking to it can lead to financial disaster.

 

If you are not able to keep a budget and stick to it and layout a financial plan and stick to it as well, how do you think you will do while running a business? The point here is not to discourage you from following your dreams; however you must understand that if you have a problem managing your own finances you will probably run into the same sort of problems down the road with your business.


 

If you have problems with your own finances, that is ok, you just need to realize the importance of figuring out what those problems are and find a way to solve them. There are many articles and books on the subject of money management and budgeting. The first step towards recovery is realizing and accepting that there is a problem. When you realize there is a problem you can seek out ways to solve it.

 

So start now, don’t wait. Sit down tonight and make a list of your personal finances then figure out exactly how much money to spend and how much money to save.

 

Use envelopes to keep track of what money is supposed to go where.

 

Review where you are and your plan every 3 months, then re-evaluate if needed.

I have only begun to market my website and blog through article marketing. I have 5 articles that have been submitted to 5 different article directories. Here is the key to doing it succesfully.

 

Post the articles on your own website or blog.

 

Make sure to ping you blog everytime you update it.

 

When your articles have been accepted to article directories, submit them to social bookmark websites.

 

Submit each blog page to a social bookmark.

 

Make sure you link from your blog to your home page or squeeze page or whatever.

 

I have effectivly built a web of around 15 links per article, thats 75 links from 5 articles that are pointing to either my blob or my homepage from exterior sources.

 

You can see how this can quickly add to the number of links pointing to your website.

 

It took a lot of time to develope that many links for each article, it was my first time though. During the process I also developed a process of keeping track of where is article has been submitted and made a template to use for each article so the next article I write should be submitted everywhere a lot quicker.

Often time people think you need a new idea, some great silver bullet that no one has discovered yet. Though great ideas can spur a great business, its not a requirement. Sometimes just taking a simple idea and performing your competition can be the key to success.

For example I know of a certain landscaping business that is cheap, fast, and generally does a good job at keeping my plants alive. When I hired them they came once a week with a crew and mowed my grass, cut the shrubs, maintained my sprinkler system, and pick up the garbage in the yard. They did great for the first few weeks, then I started noticing little annoyances, then things started getting missed. So I put in a call to ask them to take care of the problems that I was having. The man on the phone assured me the problem would be taken care of, it never happened. They did not meet my expectations and so I started to ask around for a better landscaping business. I was referred to a new business that cost a little more, however I felt it would be worth it to have my yard looking nice. The second business continued to do an excellent job and they received multiple referrals from me.

Running a successful business is about outperforming your competition, it doesn’t matter what field you are in. Getting jobs is only part of the deal, performing your best every time is the key to beating your competition. It will get you referrals, it will get you respect, and it will insure you stay in business.

There are several things you need to consider when deciding what business to get into. A lot of it should depend on your personal strengths. What are you good at? If you’re not sure what your good at then think about what do you enjoy doing? It will be much easier to get ahead of the competition in any field when you enjoy what you’re doing. You will have a much steeper learning curve and you will do a much better job at performing the service than your competition if you’re enjoying it.

Find a business you can enjoy doing and get started, then keep ahead of the competition by staying up to date on the happenings in your industry.
